 Example 1:

I chose this magazine due to it not only showing one of my favorite artist but the way it presented the subject. The color scheme is also pleasing to the eye. The subject has a mean look and a classic hip-hop look with the large chains around his neck. He overshadows the masthead. Looks into camera

Example 2:

I chose this magazine due to the unique shot of a light shining only in the center of the cover. The subject has chains and seems like a fur coat another look worn by hip-hop artist. The masthead is over the main subject. Looks into the camera

Example 3:

The color scheme of the cover is black and white with the only colors being on the side text on the cover and the masthead which is over the subject. The artist looks into the camera.

After analyzing the three examples of music magazines common troupes and characteristics of the music genre are:

- The artist looks into the camera on the cover 

-The artist's name is on the cover usually with a tagline next to it such as "the greatest rapper alive"

- Male subjects look tough and fit the classic look respective to their genre

-The spotlight is on the main subject in the cover
